The Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, established in 1951, is the leading institution in Poland dedicated to marine research. The Institute adopts a holistic approach to unravel the intricacies of marine ecosystems. Its mission is to generate knowledge supporting the sustainable use and protection of the marine environment through innovative research. Operating its research vessel, the RV Oceania, the Institute conducts scientific inquiries primarily in the Baltic Sea and the European Arctic, providing crucial insights and technology for ocean conservation efforts.

About me

Agnieszka Jędruch, PhD, is a graduate of the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography at the University of Gdańsk, specializing in oceanography with a focus on Marine and Atmospheric Chemistry. She obtained her doctoral degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences in 2019. Since 2021, she has held the position of assistant professor at the Department of Marine Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Recognized as the author or co-author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters, Agnieszka Jędruch has made significant contributions to several international scientific and R&D projects. Additionally, she has actively participated in numerous scientific conferences, further enriching her field of expertise.
