Maritime Spatial Planning Projects
About
CORILA is an association between the Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice, the IUAV University of Venice, the University of Padua, the National Research Council and the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics.
It is supervised by the Ministry of Education, University and Research. CORILA is a stable point of reference for the scientific community, promoting integration between the different skills and multidisciplinary knowledge.
CORILA has been involved in several EU-funded projects (Interreg, LIFE, EMFAF) dealing with marine, coastal, and maritime assets, especially in the framework of Maritime Spatial Planning. The consortium, alongside its partners Iuav University of Venice and CNR-ISMAR, is now coordinating the MSP-GREEN project and participating in REGINA-MSP and ReMAP. In addition, the three institutions are supporting the Italian Competent Authority for MSP. The three bodies are involved in numerous research and educational projects dealing with the sea, maritime uses, and environmental protection. CORILA wishes to bring together coordinators from several MSP EU-funded projects into one MSP booth to present project advancements and results to the EMD 2024 audience.
