BlueAquaEdu Project, Coordinated by the Agricultural University of Athens
About
BlueAquaEdu is a single player resource management mobile game where players start with a small non-eco friendly fish farm and work to upgrade it to the best possible eco-friendly farm. The goal of the game is to reduce the environmental impact of aquaculture and minimise greenhouse gas emissions. The game will focus on educating players on how to manage a farm with the lowest pollution and best solutions for organic fish farms. BlueAquaEdu will address the aquaculture sector and how to develop skills, competences and interests among teenagers and youth to work for and contribute to the greening of aquaculture processes, improving their circularity and valorisation. More specifically it is focusing on developing training content and innovative engaging methodologies (e.g. a serious game, digital tools, microcredentials based curriculum, workshops, summer schools, competitions and apprenticeships). It has a wide geographical scope of the training and mentoring activities to cover not just the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean sea basins where the partners are based, but a wide geographical area in Europe, EU Outermost Regions, Med non-EU Countries and Africa.
