Hear presentation 30th of May at stand 4: Methanol as the future of Danish fishing?

Lector Jens Brusgaard Vestergaard from the University of Aarhus is presenting the current EMFAF-funded project which is testing whether a typical Danish fishing vessel can be driven by methanol instead of diesel.

An engine driven by methanol only emits 0-10% of the CO2 compared to the traditional diesel engines used today. At this presentation you will hear about the potential of implementing methanol on fishing vessels and the limitations of using this technology on small scale vessels compared to the shipping industry where ocean going containerships already is using methanol.

The presentation is held on stand 4, Thursday 30th May at 12.30 pm.

Visit the Danish fishing control vessel “Havørnen”

We welcome you on board our fishing control vessel “Havørnen” both days from 11.30-13.30 and 16.00-18.00.

At the vessel you will be met by the crew. They will give you a tour around the 31 meter long ship and they will tell you both facts and fun stories from their daily life at sea practicing the Danish fishing control.
