Starting with the presentation of initiatives including the Campus Mondial de la Mer, Oceanopolis, Cedre, Brest metropole and its networks, we would like to discuss with the participants of the round table, the different facets of innovation for the protection of the oceans as well as citizens’ awareness. These innovations, whether technological, economic, social or territorial, will be approached from the point of view of maritime safety, scientific culture, maritime tourism and governance. The role of the European Union, of relevant cooperation and partnerships, and financing programs that can be mobilized in support of the objective of a sustainable blue economy will be the thread of these exchanges.
