Description:

Coast Guard Cooperation at EU level has received an important boost from EU Agencies. The European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA), the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) support coast guard cooperation through a common online platform (https://coastguard.europa.eu) that centralises, for the first time, up-to-date information about national authorities involved in coast guard functions, as well as about best practices, training, and services offered by the cooperation between the three European Agencies. This is a common online platform focused on specific areas of tripartite cooperation. Each Agency continues with its own dedicated websites covering the full scope of each agency’s activities.

Moreover, an Exchange Programme for coast guard authorities, entities, and academies was recently launched within the framework of interagency cooperation; that enables the sharing of know-how and working methods.
