Young Voices for the Ocean

The European Ocean Days will kick off with an inspiring and empowering session that sets the tone for the week: an interactive dialogue between young ocean advocates and the Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans. Acknowledging that the future of our oceans is largely in the hands of the next generation, it is crucial to ensure that the perspectives, views, and needs of young people and youth organizations are considered when defining the Ocean Pact and shaping the future of the blue economy.

Throughout the day, we will explore blue education, ocean literacy, and the skills needed to drive meaningful change. We will also highlight the EU4Ocean coalition for ocean literacy and showcase opportunities for youth involvement in initiatives like Mission Ocean & Waters, which empowers young citizens to take action for our oceans, seas, and waters.
