About

The developed device makes it possible to determine, using optical technology, the existence of alterations in the tissue (changes in the structure of the tissue) indicative of the presence of inflammation and tumor tissue. This technology can be implemented as a module in endoscopes (in vivo diagnostic tests) and in microscopes (in vitro diagnostic tests). Its diagnostic efficacy for cancer of the intestine and colon has been demonstrated.

This technology can also be adapted for use in industrial environments as a borescope (measurements in hard-to-reach places).

INNOVATIVE ASPECTS AND COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

- Greater sensitivity than the diagnostic techniques currently used.

- It's portable.

- Can be applied to endoscopes and microscopes.

- Allows you to analyze the morphological characteristics, roughness and dynamics of clinical samples, such as cell motility and blood flow.

STATE OF DEVELOPMENT. TRL 6-7. It has been used in clinical situations with satisfactory results.
