About

FIClima is a non-profit, private and fully independent foundation whose objectives are focused on research and innovation in climatology, meteorology and the environment to promote adaptation to climate change. The entity has a history of more than 30 years being specialists in the creation of local climate change scenarios with our own methodology, and the development of climate services of various kinds, mainly oriented to the environment (agriculture, forestry, biodiversity) and urban areas, like assessing the impact of climate and extreme events in the urban fabric and critical infrastructure due to heat waves, flash flooding or other related events, or helping urban adaptation with nature-based solutions. FIClima has extensive experience in national and international projects, with dozens of projects accomplished in Spain and 5 ongoing Horizon Europe projects, with experience in many funding schemes like H2020, PRIMA-Med, Interreg-SUDOE or EIT Climate-KIC.
