The Innovation Center of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (ICMF) in Belgrade is a dynamic hub of expertise and innovation, comprising a dedicated team of 66 researchers, including 18 PhDs and 48 PhD students. Our Mission is to bridge the gap between academia and industry by harnessing cutting-edge research. We specialize in several key areas, including technology development, prototyping, technology transfer, rigorous testing, engineering solutions, comprehensive consulting services, enriching the teaching offerings of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME), and proficient project management. Our Activities encompass a diverse range of initiatives and services: Applied Research: We conduct applied research that directly benefits both public and private sector industries, translating academic knowledge into practical solutions. SMS Projects: We actively engage in projects related to Smart Manufacturing Systems (SMS), fostering innovation in this transformative field. R&D Project Development: We excel in the end-to-end process of research and development project management, from initial drafting to application, meticulous management, detailed reporting, and efficient financial oversight. Cross-Disciplinary Collaborations: We promote cross-disciplinary projects that span diverse domains such as education, water management, waste reduction, bio-based value chains, standards development, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
