I am working in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges (2nd largest port Europe) and responsable for relations with Chambers of Commerce, embassies and special visitors.

Patrick Van Cauwenberghe obtained a master's degree in economics from Ghent University (Belgium), followed by a master's degree in finance from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School (Belgium) and an MBA from Bayes Business School, City University London (UK).
He began his professional career as an employee of the research department of the National Bank of Belgium (central bank), where he conducted studies on the economic importance of seaports and drew up strategic plans for the regions.
In 1994, he joined the economic department of the Port of Zeebrugge, where he managed European port projects and port statistics.He is currently responsible for international trade networks within the international department of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
He is an active member of the European Seaports Organisation, International Association Ports and Harbours, Association Internationale Villes et Ports and various international port and trade organisations. He lectures, authored and co-authored several port-related studies, articles and publications.
