Mariko Sparkling Green Tea is Ireland's first sparkling green tea, uniquely brewed in the West of Ireland using the finest Japanese Sencha leaves.

Mariko is 100% natural, with no sugars, sweeteners or calories. It contains a proven high level of the powerful antioxidant (EGCG) i.e. (the naturally occurring and powerful antioxidant contained in green tea). Our product is brewed from premium Sencha green tea leaves using a very unique brewing method which extracts all the EGCG antioxidants and flavour from the leaves.

We add only botanicals to create a variant within this plant-based healthy drink range; Original, Berry and Lemon & Lime Infusions. All our delicious beverages are lightly carbonated to create a bubbly and refreshing drink.

Our Story

“While spending time in the US in the 90's, the popularity of iced tea and the volume of its consumption really did grab my attention.

Many years later, back home in Ireland ‘sugar’ and the health implications associated with its high consumption became a concerning issue. The spotlight was firmly fixed on the beverage category as one of the main culprits. People were also becoming more health conscious and educated in the benefits of green tea.

 In 2011, my journey started to fix this beverage problem and elbow this culprit into a smaller corner of the market.  I discovered in my research that consumers wanted healthy and functional food and drinks to achieve a healthy lifestyle and maximise their lifespan. I also discovered that green tea has a compound called EGCG which is a powerful antioxidant that has myriad health benefits.

 My decision was made when I married the ‘sugar’ problem and the green tea benefits to produce a naturally healthy and functional beverage. Our unique process of brewing the green tea leaves in small batches, extracts all the flavours and powerful EGCG antioxidants. It is lightly carbonated to create a refreshing mouthfeel, resulting in a delicious, flavourful and non-alcoholic alternative to soft drinks.”
