About me

Antonio is a Safety Promotion Officer at EASA, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in Cologne, Germany. Together with the team there, they cover a wide range of promotional collaborative outreach activities across all fields of aviation in an attempt to put the “S” on Safety.

Having worked at EASA for more than 16 years, in different roles, Antonio shares a lifelong passion for aviation, especially drones. He also devotes his time to mentoring students and young professionals, something he admits he learns from every single day. In early 2023, together with Cate Brancart from AviAll, he is leading EUROCAE’s working group 125 on discovering ways of enticing the next generation of aviation professionals in aviation.

Antonio is originally from Spain and graduated with a degree in Environmental Engineering. He previously worked for British Airways and in banking. He is married and has two young boys he would love to see dedicated to aviation too.
