Objectives of the FabLabKe project are:

  • To create a supportive environment for makers and creators of the Kosice and eastern Slovakia region in order to close the gap in the offered urban services

  • To support manufacturing, recycling and research endeavors of various private, public, nonprofit and for-profit organizations affiliated with Kosice and eastern Slovakia in order to support local business competitiveness and knowledge driven industry

  • Complement practical education of local educational facilities from elementary till university level in order to prepare students for practical use of the technologies

  • Serve a social function as point of convergence for people with creative and technical interests as well as non-technical curious people wanting to learn and experiment with manufacturing technologies in order to augment and better the quality of life in the region

  • Serve as a psychological hygiene aid for all mental workers of the IT Valley cluster and other psychological support functions in collaboration with health professionals

  • Enable citizen research and incubation of local businesses 

  • Participate on national and international maker community network, support existing local maker businesses and represent Kosice and eastern Slovakia in the global maker community
