Sobre

I carried out my professional career in Spain, Germany and America, developing a cross-cutting profile and expertise in research, market analysis and project management in the fields of Biotechnology, AgriFood and Pharma.

In Freiburg (Germany), I performed my PhD with specialisation in Plant Biotechnology, conducting research on increasing the provitamin A content in plants with focus on Golden Rice.

Afterwards I joined the scientific-humanitarian program HarvestPlus (United States) as Coordinator of Nutrition and Food Science for Latin America and the Caribbean, with base at The International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), in Colombia, where I led projects with biofortified crops with iron, zinc and provitamin A.

Currently, at Bioga, I coordinate the international growth and I am involved in the management R&D and digitalisation projects and the establishment of new partnerships in the Biotechnology and Life Sciences sectors.

Mi organización

Bioga is a non-profit business association that brings together the organisations integrated in the value chain of the biotechnology sector that are based in Galicia (Spain). At international level, the Cluster is open to new collaborations in terms of R&D and ecosystem building projects, internationalisation actions such as networking and matchmaking activities, and the organisation of both direct and inverse commercial missions.

Galicia accounts more than 160 biotechnology companies, 3 Universities, 5 International Research Centres of Excellence, 2 European Research Infrastructure Consortia, 3 Biomedical Research Institutes and 6 Biotechnology-related clusters.
