BAHÍA SOFTWARE is an IT company with more than 20 years of experience providing solutions and services to e-health sectors, including Hospitals, large regional public healthcare services and private networks of Hospitals and health organizations. BAHÍA SOFTWARE staff involves mostly multidisciplinary teams of engineers and software developers fully dedicated to solving interoperability issues in healthcare organizations. As a highly experienced company in interoperability, it provides solutions to implement open medical standards in the electronic health systems, such as DICOM and HL7, particularly in medical imaging where we are a national reference entity in Spain managing more than 10 million studies per year. Beyond our activity as a service provider, BAHIA SOFTWARE also works in the development of proprietary technologies, targeting specific needs of patients, healthcare workers and their organizations. Some of these proprietary technologies include large scale platforms that also demand a deep interoperability knowledge such the Platform to assist the Ethics Committee in the analysis of different medical data, a Surgical Information system interoperable with different databases related to the Patient Surgery journey or the a Medical Information Platform to connect several RIS and PACS systems , optimizing Human Resources and equipment of large networks of hospitals.

In relation to the EHDEN project, BAHIA SOFWTARE has demonstrated wide experience in developing health web application systems at corporate level in .NET and Java using database managers such as Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Informix. It also has several interoperability teams to lead several HL7 integration projects using IHE recommendations. The company has significant experience in SQL queries taking advantages of its role as information system developer as well as its capacity to maintain and support the creation of PL/SQL scripts on Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, etc.

In addition, BAHÍA SOFTWARE has a business intelligence department that partially develops projects to exploit the information stored in main Hospital databases. The business intelligence department has experts in database query systems for statistical analysis and report generation. They are also capable to perform database migrations using ETLs management tools such as Talend Open Studio, Pentaho Data Integration, Integration Services, etc.
