Welcome to the 2025 Global Innovation Summit at HANNOVER MESSE
The Germany-Canada co-chair welcomes the Eureka network to the 2025 Global Innovation Summit (GIS) at HANNOVER MESSE. This year’s GIS will take place on Tuesday April 1 and Wednesday April 2, 2025 in Hannover, Germany. The GIS will be held alongside, and on the grounds of, the HANNOVER MESSE industrial fair which takes place from March 31-April 3, 2025.
About the Global Innovation Summit
The GIS is an annual networking event that brings together innovators, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and policymakers from around the world. The Summit serves as a platform for participants to exchange ideas, establish partnerships, and influence the future of innovation.
The event will include plenary discussions and panels, with breakout programing on topics including Circular Value Creation, as well as continuous opportunities for B2B, pitch sessions and matchmaking for companies. More than 800 participants from Europe and beyond are expected to attend.
GIS and Hannover Messe
Hannover Messe is one of the world's largest industrial development and technology trade fairs, welcoming more than 130,000 visitors annually from 150+ countries. It is a leading showcase for global companies focused on digital technologies, industrial transformation, clean technologies and resilient supply chains.
There are more than 4,000 exhibitors expected at HANNOVER MESSE, with continual programming from the main thematic areas, including AI & Machine Learning, Carbon-neutral Production, Energy for Industry, Industry 4.0 / Manufacturing-X and Hydrogen & Fuel Cells. Canada is taking centre stage as the 2025 partner country for Hannover Messe where it will showcase Canada's expertise, technology innovation and as an investment partner of choice.
The GIS will be held at the Convention Center located directly in the middle of HANNOVER MESSE, which allows Eureka members and their delegations an opportunity to maximize co-innovation project opportunities, learning, discussions and networking by attending both events.
What is the cost to attend?
There is no registration fee for the GIS, it is free to attend. Additionally, registration is free for GIS participants who wish to also attend HANNOVER MESSE. This provides participants with the opportunity to attend HANNOVER MESSE in the days around GIS.

Under the motto "Setting the Standard: Driving Resilience and Circularity in the European Market," the BDI e.V., together with the BDI Circular Economy Initiative and Hannover Messe, invites you to an event on April 1, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, featuring national and international decision-makers from politics, business, and standardization organizations at Hannover Messe.
The event will provide insights into the strategic and geopolitical role of standardization and its importance in strengthening Germany and Europe on the path to a competitive circular economy.
Look forward to two engaging sessions featuring speakers including Kerstin Jorna, Director-General at the European Commission, and Peter Leibinger, President of BDI.
The event will be held in English and in the same building as the Global Innovation Summit.
