Eliza Panagiotidou

Industrial Ecologist with a background in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship from the American College of Greece. After gaining work experience in business development in the manufacturing sector, I continued my studies in sustainability and obtained a Masters in Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility from the Escuela Organizacion Industrial (EOI) in Spain and an MSc in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University in The Netherlands.

I am an EBRD Registered Adviser - eligible candidate for Advice for Small Business, an Independent Expert evaluator for EIT Manufacturing and EIT Raw Materials, and a member of the GREEN ASSIST Community of Experts, an advisory initiative managed by the European Climate Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). In 2024, I had the pleasure of being recognized as the regional winner of the Ecosystem Hero of the Year at the South Europe StartUp Awards.

To enable organizations to improve their sustainability and circularity literacy and performance, I founded Urban Camel, a niche research and innovation agency for sustainable growth and the circular economy. My activities include:

•Helping clients gain circular knowledge through training and develop skills to future-proof their careers in the circular economy.
• Conducting strategic research for new business models and opportunities for circular innovation.
• Building relationships/ partnerships to enable sustainable project development.
• Providing valuable insights with the use of assessment tools and consulting to optimize circularity performance.
• Evaluating project proposals for funding as an external expert.
