Plastic foams formulation specialist, I develop biosourced non isocyanate polyurethane foam solutions from lab to pre-industrial scale
About me
PhD in Polymer Science with 7 years experience in industry (R&D polymer foams at Total), and back at the University for tackling the challenge of developing new biobased foams for replacing polyurethane foams, based on the recent findings made at CERM. I am very enthusiastic about this new challenge!
My organisation
The Center for Education and Research on Macromolecules (CERM) is a research group within the Department of Chemistry at the University of Liège. Specialized in polymer chemistry, CERM focuses on the study, development, and application of macromolecules. Their research encompasses a wide range of polymer-related topics, including the synthesis of new polymer materials, understanding polymerization mechanisms, and exploring the physical and chemical properties of polymers. The group leverages state-of-the-art facilities and employs cutting-edge techniques to investigate and develop innovative circular polymer materials with potential applications in various industries, such as healthcare, electronics, and sustainable (foamed) materials. CERM is also founder of the ULIEGE FRITCO2T research platform dedicated to carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technologies addressing R&D activities in CO2 capture, in CO2 conversion to fuels, chemicals and polymers, in CO2 mineralization and CO2 processes for pharmacy.
