About me

Dr. Mays AL-Naday is a Senior Lecturer and co-manager of the Network Convergence Laboratory (NCL) at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex (UEssex). She is an expert in edg-cloud management and cybersecurity. Her interests are in holistically enabling sustainable and safe utilisation of cloud services, considering the interplay between infrastructure and services and the trade-offs between security, cost, and performance. Her system-oriented approach to research combines analytical modelling and optimisation with software prototyping. Mays has participated in several international (EU) projects and published over 35 papers in reputable venues. She was the development team leader in the EU H2020 project POINT and has successfully supported the delivery of TRL-7 trials. She is the UEssex representative to the 6G-IA and AIOTI.
