About me

Dr. Massimo Neri is Chief Technology Officer and Head of Lab at Martel, in charge of leading company-wide technological choices, strategy, as well as software design and development, and managing the whole Martel Lab within the framework of company mission, strategy, and operational goals.

Over the years, Massimo built up an all-round technical lead, also owning and managing an Italian SME company for more than 10 years, where he led the delivery of cloud, IoT and mobile software projects to enterprises and start-ups. Massimo has been scientific and technical coordinator in multiple EC & ESA projects focusing on satellite communications and smart applications, and authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, including journal papers, book chapter contributions, and articles in international conference proceedings.

Massimo holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering from University of Bologna, Italy, and an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi Management School in Milan, Italy, and has been Research Associate for the LTE standardization group at Qualcomm Inc, San Diego
