About
The Consorci Hospitalari de Vic (CHV) is a public institution that provides healthcare, social and healthcare services, dependency care, residential care, and mental health services. Our goal is to offer the residents of the Osona region (approximately 160,000 people) high-quality care services, both public and private, while applying principles of social responsibility.
Legally, CHV is composed of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Fundació Hospital de la Santa Creu de Vic. It is organized as a public and institutional administrative consortium, operating as a non-profit entity, created under Decree 302/1986 of September 9, 1986. With almost 30 years of history, it was the first consortium established in the healthcare sector in Catalonia under this model, which has since become a reference throughout the country.
CHV manages six centers with distinct profiles: the Hospital Universitari de Vic (public healthcare), the Clínica de Vic (private healthcare), Osona Salut Mental (specialized mental health care), the Hospital Sant Jaume de Manlleu (intermediate and dependency care), the Residència Aura (residential center for the elderly), and the Centre de Dia Josep Roqué i Castells (daycare center for elderly).
