About

My career was shaped by two fields that progressed simultaneously after a point.

The first of these is that I am a retired gendarmerie officer who graduated from the Turkish Military Academy. During this period of my life, I worked in different regions of Turkey such as Çukurca/Hakkari (Border), Uludere/Şırnak (Border), Istanbul, Gaziantep and Van (Border), and occasionally abroad, such as Kosovo and Afghanistan. I have successfully managed the directorship of Kabul Airport North Operation Centre (KANOC) which is also responsible for the security of Kabul Airport in Afghanistan.

The second field that shaped my career is social anthropology, which I met while I was still an officer. Anthropology made me better understand human, his/her diversity and culture. My field studies and articles on migration have helped me to understand all aspects of migration and issues related to migration, which is also the main area of interest of the organization.

As a result, while I can handle the security issue in a multifaceted framework, I also have the ability to understand the cultural elements that shape it.
