Bogazici University also known as Bosphorus University, is a major research university in Istanbul, Turkey. Its main campus is located on the European side of the Bosphorus strait. It has six faculties and two schools offering undergraduate degrees and six institutes offering graduate degrees. Traditionally, the language of instruction is English. Founded in 1863, as Robert College, it was the first American higher education institution founded outside the United States. Though under Turkish administration today, the university still maintains strong ties to the American educational system. Boğaziçi University consistently ranks as Turkey's top university and has the greatest number of applicants via the Turkish university entrance examinations, making it the most selective university in Turkey.

Bogazici University Wireless Communications and Networking, and Information and Network Security groups are led by Prof. Mutlu Koca and Prof. Emin Anarım and collectively consist of 12 PhD and 23 MSc students. The Bogazici University team offers expertise in areas including but not limited to:

Signal and Data Processing: Big data processing, statistical signal processing, random signal analysis, image and video processing, machine learning and deep learning techniques, etc.

Wireless Communications and Networking: Information theory and detection/estimation theory, advanced coding systems, internet of things syetems, 4/5/6G wireless communications, MIMO communications, UAV aided communication, optical wireless communications, cross-layer network design and analysis, stochastic geometry based wireless network analysis and optimization, convex optimization for wireless communications, ML/DL techniques in large scale IoT systems and networks…etc.

Information and Network Security: ML/DL techniques in security applications, intrusion detection, priviliged Access management, network and traffic anomaly detection, deep packet inspection, platform security, critical infrastructure security, cloud compatible cryptography applications, hyical layer security, etc.

The team has received funding from international and national fuding agencies such as EU through programmes such as Itea, Cost and Horizon; The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and private industry.
