About

We are interested in participating in a proposal or a project for DRS and INFRA calls, particularly in HORIZON-CL3-2024-DRS-01-01, HORIZON-CL3-2024-DRS-01-03,HORIZON-CL3-2024-DRS-01-04, HORIZON-CL3-2024-INFRA-01-01, HORIZON-CL3-2024-INFRA-01-02, HORIZON-CL3-2024-INFRA-01-03. We can make contribution in implementation of project activities through case studies in Türkiye.

My research area is focused on damage risk and resilience assessment of industry, residential buildings and hospital networks affected by disasters. In this sense, I have performed several reconnaissance studies ( field and interviews) and related risk assessments. The last field study was on impact and resilience assessments of the built-environment after the Feb 6, 2023 Turkiye earthquake sequence. I investigated both structural and nonstructural damages and the functionality of the industrial and hospital facilities and residential buildings, and their recovery in one year aftermath of the earthquakes. Through several data collection efforts, I have established several disaster case studies, including the recent 2023 Istanbul flooding effects. In the scope of a national research project, I am also collecting data on multi-hazard ( earthquake, fire, liquefaction, flood) vulnerability of industry in Istanbul and around. I am open to discuss who is interested in these topics.
