AAHD is a medical end user (first responder) NGO established in 2004, in Turkey and participated to 8 EC Projects as full partner since 2008. TeamAware (H2020-DRS), ASSISTANCE (H2020-DRS), iProcureSecurity PCP (H2020- GM), iProcureSecurity CSA (H2020, GM), NEXES (H2020, DRS), SOTERIA (7th FP, Security), BECAN (7th FP, Health), BeSeCu (7th FP, Security), CRM4EMS and SMS4EMS (ERASMUS + KA220).
AAHD provides RTD and innovation; and training activities in the fields of Emergency Medical Services (including first aid); Disaster response and preparedness; mobile health care.
AAHD highly experienced in responding to a broad range of medical emergencies from routine medical responses like basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, paediatric life support, trauma life support to and different kinds of disasters that involved field triage, transportation of huge amount of injured people.
Most of the members actively directed medical efforts and responded to the most devastating earthquakes, 1995 Izmir Flood, CBRN incidents, terrorist attacks, major fires and mass causality incidents in Turkiye. AAHD members made major contributions to the Turkish EMS and Disaster Medical Response regulations.
