BFH is a University of Applied Sciences (UAS) in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, offering practice-oriented education and applied research & services. Students at BFH benefit from our interdisciplinary approach and our international orientation. Our eight departments/schools teach and research a wide range of subjects, and our students and staff come from a wide range of different countries.

At the School for Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering, our Institute for Building Materials and Biobased Products strives to create environmentally friendly materials made from reusable raw materials for the wood and construction industry.
