Alfa BK University in Belgrade is the first private university in Serbia and the entire region of Southeast Europe. The University was founded back in 1993, first as the Karić Brothers University, and in 2008 it was renamed Alfa BK University, by changing the ownership structure. This strategic business move represents the first direct foreign investment in the field of education in Serbia. Today, Alfa BK University consists of 6 faculties (Faculty of Finance, Banking and Auditing; Faculty of Foreign Languages; Faculty of Management in Sport, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Information Technology, and Academy of Arts), with more than 20,000 graduate students who obtained their academic title at one of these six faculties.
