International Black Sea University has been engaged in educational and scientific activities since 1995. The university is the first English-language educational institution in Georgia, which offers programs in both English and Georgian languages at all three levels of education.
The university offers a multicultural, and student-oriented learning environment. The high level of teaching is ensured by local and visiting professors from different countries; educational programs and activities are focused on developing transferable skills.
The educational process is conducted using modern teaching methods and is based on the latest technologies. In the process of development and implementation of training programs, the role of modern technologies and their impact on the employment market, as well as the need for analytical thinking, teamwork, decision-making, planning and prioritization skills are taken into account.
As a result, educational programs are focused on the demands of both – local and international employment markets.
In terms of student and staff exchange, the university cooperates with leading educational institutions of Europe, Asia and America.
IBSU offers 43 educational programs, including 25 bachelor’s, 12 master’s, 4 doctoral, teacher training educational program and educational Programme of Medical Doctor. Six refereed scientific journals are published.
The language of instruction of 26 educational programs is English.
The university has signed a memorandum of bilateral cooperation with 65 universities worldwide, including 14 universities of EU member states.
