We specialize in technology transfer, applied R&D, and fostering industrial competitiveness, with a strong track record in European and international projects, including Horizon Europe, EIC, and public-private partnerships.

Through strategic collaborations with governments, international financial institutions (IFIs), and private sector actors, Leitat plays a critical role in translating R&D into impact-driven, sustainable solutions in fields such as:

Ø  Health and Biotechnology: Development of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tools (e.g., theranostics, personalized medicine).

Ø  Sustainable Manufacturing & Circular Economy: Promoting resource efficiency, green technologies, and climate-aligned industrial transitions.

Ø  Digital Transformation & Emerging Technologies: Artificial intelligence, data-driven innovation, and Industry 4.0 applications for sustainable development.

Leitat has a young but promising career in the consultancy and development cooperation sector. Since 2008, it has become an important player in the international and European R&D sector, participating in more than 126 projects and coordinating 26 of them, becoming the 3rd RTO in Spain by return under the H2020 program.

More recently, the mix of technical and consultancy knowledge Leitat holds, has led the Catalan technological centre to explore new areas where to expand and collaborate in the generation of technological knowledge. Focusing its action at developing and bolstering the public and private institutions, trough innovation, in the fields of digital industry, circular economy & decarbonization and health & biomedicine with a clear focus on sustainable development.

In this regard, Leitat has made itself a name by biding and implementing several programs (tenders, grants and FWC) for different international donors such as the European Commission (EC) and its different DGs and institutions (DG INTPA, DEVCO, SANTE), the World Bank (WB), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
