About me
Jade Pattyn is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for the Evaluation of Vaccination (CEV) at the University of Antwerp. Since September 2022, she is the project manager of the Adult Immunization Board, a platform to provide multidisciplinary guidelines for the implementation and optimization of adult immunization in Europe. Jade Pattyn is trained as a biomedical scientist with a master in infectious diseases from the University of Antwerp. In August 2020 she successfully completed her PhD on ‘Innovative follow-up of preventive and therapeutic interventions to control HPV by non-invasive self-sampling’. After her PhD, Jade Pattyn left the CEV to expand her horizons and skills as a vaccines analyst at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance (Geneva) (September 2020 – October 2021) and as COVID-19 vaccine Quality Specialist Operations at Pfizer (Puurs) (October 2021 – September 2022). These experiences allowed Jade Pattyn to familiarize herself with vaccine formulation, vaccine production, global health and the science-policy interface
