About me
Programme Director at Earthbound, investing in scientists and students building deeptech based Climate ventures, leveraging the DTU ecosystem.
Founder of Meridia, the strategic field data partner for global food companies, enabling them to meet their sustainability commitments in traceability for their sourcing, living income for their smallholder producers and regenerative agriculture for protecting sourcing communities and their landscapes. Simon led the pivot of the business to a b2b business model, signing up 4 billion dollar companies as regular customers.
Originally Simon has has worked as a market analyst providing market and channel intelligence to institutional investors, then serving 4 years as a managing director for Impact Hub Network, with particular focus overseeing and supporting the growth of the network from 18 to 70+ member Hubs.
One key achievement has also been developing strategic partnerships to grow the impact economy infrastructure in Africa, Latin America, China and the Balkans. Overall Simon has co-founded 2 start-ups and has significant experience raising startup capital (equity, convertible, debt) from a wide range of investors in Europe, Asia and the US and has executive management experience across a variety of sectors.
My organisation
Earthbound is a climate tech catalyst that nurtures deep tech science, matches scientists with proven entrepreneurs, and hatches early startups that fight climate change. Launched in the fall of 2023, Earthbound offers fellowships for scientists behind deep tech inventions, proven impact entrepreneurs and students who wish to work in climate tech. Embedded into DTU (Technical University of Denmark) as part of their ecosystem, Earthbound is given unprecedented access to deep tech science at the time of invention.
