As one of the first VCs in the European food industry, we invest in impact driven start-ups such as Oatly!, Air Up, Peas of Heaven and GoodBytz. Oyster Bay Funds focuses on start-ups along the food value chain from field to consumer goods to recycling and waste. The food industry is responsible for around a third of greenhouse gases - while also being the first sector to feel the effects of climate change. About me

A broken neck showed me what I wanted!

I should have been paraplegic at 17 due to a kitesurfing accident. Instead, I can walk, have successfully founded and am now investing in sustainable start-ups along the food value chain.

It made me realize early on that I should not waste my valuable time on this planet.

Ultimately, it allowed me to follow my current path, which would probably have been very different without the incident: I completed a semester abroad at Harvard, founded the companies Berryjoy and purefood (with a successful exit), completed my M.Sc. in Management at HEC in Paris and, since mid-2022, I have been passing on knowledge and investment to promising start-ups in the food industry as part of Oyster Bay Venture Capital.
