My organisation

Reducing poverty, promoting peace, and protecting the environment – these are our three main goals. We work with our partners to ensure that sustainable development benefits everyone in Africa, Asia, and Southeast and Eastern Europe. With eleven international offices, we are directly present in our partner countries. Our team focuses on the development goals of each country, the needs of the local population, and the optimal use of resources.

About me

Christian Schober has been serving as a Junior Program Manager for the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) since February 2023. In his role within the Private Sector & Development Unit, he oversees projects in Western Africa and the Western Balkans. This unit supports initiatives with companies that sustainably create jobs, improve working conditions, and enhance local market development in countries of the Global South. Prior to this, Mr. Schober worked at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). He holds a Master of Science degree from Johannes Kepler University Linz and completed his undergraduate studies at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU).
