Welcome to the Social Entrepreneurship City Hamburg 🩵🎯

In spring 2023, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg became the first federal state in Germany to adopt a strategy aimed at holistically strengthening, promoting, making social entrepreneurship more visible, and integrating it into regular systems. Its vision, in a nutshell: a livable city for everyone.

That the city is serious about implementing this strategy was proven by the founding of the Social Entrepreneurship Alliance Hamburg in summer 2023. This initiative serves as a cross-sector hub. Its shared purpose: to put the common good at the heart of action and business in Hamburg.

Since early 2024, a unifying brand has been in place to increase visibility, create a shared identity, and boost the initiative’s appeal. This brand unites the entire ecosystem and attracts new allies and cooperation partners – both within and beyond the Hanseatic city: the Social Entrepreneurship City Hamburg.

This brand is all of us. Together, as “Citizens,” we form a new “Karma Cluster” that tackles problems head-on and meets the multitude of today’s challenges with courage and collaboration through innovative solutions. We represent and establish a new culture of innovation focused on the common good across all sectors in Hamburg. Are you in?
