UMR RIGHT
About
The UMR Right “Host-Graft-Tumor Interactions & Cell & Gene Engineering” research unit focuses on the immunological relationships between a patient and his or her graft or tumor. A better understanding of these interactions enables the development of new treatments based on cell and gene therapy approaches to modulate the immune system to prevent it from rejecting a graft or, on the contrary, to make it more capable of eliminating a tumor. The modulation of chronic inflammatory diseases using biotherapies (complex biological drugs) is another of the unit's research priorities. The unit is also interested in the identification of biomarkers in chronic inflammatory diseases and cancers.
