MetGIS - Your Partner in R&D Projects Related to Snow and Weather
About
We would be happy to collaborate with you in all national and international R&D projects where high resolution weather and climate data may play a role.
As a spin-off of the Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics, University of Vienna, we are equipped with a highly academic background and have been involved in R&D projects sponsored by a variety of companies as well as international (EU, ESA) and Austrian national funding agencies (FWF, FFG, AWS, WKW, Wirtschaftsagentur, ...).
Prior to the proper establishment of the company, the algorithms and software of MetGIS have been developed by the founding team over a period of more than 10 years, with a variety of international partners (universities, national weather services, research institutes) from the USA, Japan, Switzerland and the South American countries Chile, Argentina and Peru.
