Extreme environment research, test, evaluation, education and training centre serving SubSea technologies, Offshore Energy, Defence, Aquaculture, Education, Academia and Human Spaceflight, with facilities being built in Cleveland Ohio and Newquay Cornwall, with amongst other facilities a 42,000m3 50x40x50m configurable pool will include but not limited to:

Laminar and Turbulent currents, ability to change lighting, saline or fresh water, all of which will be ideal for the TRL 4-6 gap.  The Blue Abyss pool fills that gap which will ensure users ability to reduce cost whilst being able to re-risk testing and take that testing further.

It is intended for the pool to have a signature-controlled environment to allow for acoustic and defence work to be carried out. Our state-of-the-art facility boasts the deepest pool in the world, allowing us to simulate extreme underwater conditions for scientific research, space training, and deep-sea exploration.
