About me
Martin Russ has been Managing Director of AustriaTech GmbH since 2011, an ‘Explorative Mobility Transformation Agency’ owned by the federal government (BMK). In order to create a future-proof and sustainable transport and mobility system, AustriaTech's activities are focussed on multimodal services, digital transport infrastructures and automated and networked mobility. In order to achieve these AustriaTech is focussing in particular on cooperation and partnerships with Austrian and European infrastructure operators, mobility service providers, the industry, research institutions and public authorities.
Martin Russ studied spatial planning and land use planning at the Technical University in Vienna. As a consultant and transport engineer, he has gained extensive experience in the fields of transport planning and technologies. From 2005 to 2008, Russ worked for the FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency) responsible for research funding in the field of transport technology and subsequently until 2011 at the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology in the areas of Research, Technology and Patents. He has now been active in the field of transport planning and mobility technologies. Martin Russ is also a member of the Coordination Committee of the European ITS Nations and Secretary General of ITS Austria.

AustriaTech is the Austrian competence centre for mobility transformation and is an agency owned by the agency owned by the federal government (BMK).
