Japan and Basque Country B2B meetings in WHS2025

Japan and Basque Country B2B meetings in WHS2025

Overview:

Basque Trade & Investment, the Basque Government's Internationalization Agency, in collaboration with JETRO and the Basque Energy Cluster (BEC), is dedicated to strengthening the business and investment ties between the Basque Country and Japan. This initiative focuses on the hydrogen energy sector, leveraging strategic partnerships and dialogue between key organizations such as the Japanese Embassy in Spain, JETRO, BEC, JH2A, and other relevant institutions.

Since 2023, these stakeholders have worked together on joint actions, facilitating closer cooperation between companies from both countries. By engaging in coordinated events in Spain and Japan, this effort helps businesses understand each other's markets and explore potential collaboration opportunities.

WHS2025:

A key opportunity for these companies to meet and explore opportunities is WHS2025, where relevant companies from the hydrogen value chain in both the Basque Country and Japan will be present. This will provide a platform to discuss shared interests and the potential for joint ventures in the European and Japanese markets, particularly in areas identified as key to success.

Goals:

  1. Facilitate Business Connections: Help companies in the hydrogen energy value chain from both regions find common ground for mutual business opportunities.

  2. Promote Business Alliances: Foster business alliances between Basque and Japanese companies, both domestically and internationally, with an emphasis on hydrogen energy.

  3. Encourage Investment: Attract Japanese investment to the Basque Country while promoting investment opportunities for Basque companies in Japan.

  4. Enhance Mutual Understanding: Promote Basque-Japanese understanding and collaboration, deepening the strategic partnership between both regions.

Target Audience:

  • Japanese and Basque companies operating in or entering the hydrogen energy sector, attending WHS2025 to explore cross-border business opportunities, partnerships, and investments.

This collaboration not only drives business but also positions both regions as key players in the global energy transition, particularly in hydrogen energy, fostering sustainable growth and innovation.
