Eris Dhamo

Eris Dhamo is a full-time lecturer at the Department of Social Work and Social Policy at the University of Tirana, where she has been teaching since 2014. She holds a PhD in Gerontology, with a specific focus on the quality of life of the elderly. Her areas of expertise include communication for social and behaviour change, LGBTI+, social administration, social science research, social policy, social protection policies, gender issues, and integrated methods in social work.

In addition, she is actively engaged in issues related to security and emergencies, exploring their impact on society and ways to enhance institutional and social responses. Currently, she is involved in various research projects addressing topics such as aging, domestic violence, modern and traditional family structures, gender perspectives, youth criminality, and migration and its effects on Albanian society.
