Next generation cold press piping connection !
About
Are you still welding pipes? LiNX has developed the new generation of cold-press pipe connectors so you now have a reliable, certified, safe, cold-work alternative to welding!
LiNX fittings are suited to situations where Cost, Safety and Scheduling are key drivers. Suitable for fluids and gas, high or low pressure, and high or low temperature. Instead of certified welders, the Linx fitting is reliably installed by workers who can be trained in a matter of hours. Making a connection takes minimal preparation, and the entire process can take less than a few minutes. Once pressed, the fitting is permanent, and the connection becomes the strongest part of the line.
The process does not require hot-work, and can be performed by hand powered hydraulic pump. The technology has been third party tested and certified, and successfully passed extremely demanding periods of vibration and pulsation testing regimes.
Fit and Forget - Cold Process Installation - Maintenance Free - High Durability and Longevity.
The installation process
Insert the pipe into the Fitting body, using Hydraulic tooling to advance two drive rings axially over the fitting body. Radially compressing the fitting body on the OD of the pipe. The body of the fitting has circumferential machined sealing rings which grip and seal the pipe OD, forming a gas tight and metal to metal seal. A complete stand alone mobile LiNX system exist of the fitting, the press tool, and a small Hydraulic pump on battery (or air pump driven).
Advantages of LiNX Technology are;
Simplicity
-
Quick, simple and faultless installation,
-
100% Metal to metal sealing (no elastomer needed),
-
Fit and forget reliability (no leaking),
-
A fitter can do the installation (no welder and inspection needed).
Safety
-
No ‘hot works’, no heat, fumes or fire hazard
-
No acid cleaning or X-ray needed
Durability
-
Improved corrosion resistance,
-
The pipe joints are no longer the weakest part of the system.
LiNX fittings are certified to the Lloyd’s Register Type approval, and according to the ASTM-F1387 and ISO-9001:2015 standards, and are in service across Europe and Asia.
