Whilst others available are very expensive and do not offer many collaborative safety features, making them cumbersome to operate, the company’s solution is accessible and affordable to large and small-sized productions who are seeking to push the boundaries of creative content production.

In collaboration with robotics specialists Branch Robotics, Backlit Films is creating a solution that utilises cost-effective, collaborative robots which are up to 40% cheaper than similar market solutions and which also dramatically reduce software subscription costs.

With a clear integration with Unreal Engine, the real-time computer graphics generator that powers virtual backgrounds for The Mandalorian and Batman, the company’s technology will allow filmmakers to create new worlds without the need for Hollywood budgets.

Backlit Films is seeking to:

● Meet and develop relationships with investors who share the companies' vision and potential to raise £250,000 investment to bring an affordable content creation solution to productions in the UK and Europe
