Their services range from general facility management to industrial cleaning, energy management, maintenance, environmental contamination control, and qualification activities. Challenge CAMST, a leading player in the catering and facility management sector, is continuously engaged in a comprehensive analysis of tender documents (incl. analysis of market areas, competitors, and other parameters to guide better strategic decisions). The issue is the significant effort required in analyzing and classifying the tender award criteria— both in terms of the quantity (e.g., man-hours, number of documents, etc.) and quality (e.g., difficulty in analyzing competitors' strengths). CAMST seeks to develop a software tool (using Big Data, AI or others) that can analyze all tenders documents (official documents, technical proposal, economics proposal, tenders reports, …) especially in Italy: the solution should advice how to classify the award criteria that are rewarded in the tenders by evaluating the type of tender, internal capabilities and responses from competitors. This means creating an evaluation framework based on pre-established KPIs to identify the tenders topics where CAMST is strongest and in which one is most lacking, with an additional focus on the economic values. The output should be measurable and compare data on which to outline future commercial choices. The solution might also include semantic analysis to enhance the completeness and accuracy of the analysis.
