Altilia is an Italian AI company, set up as a spin-off of the National Research Council (CNR), with the mission to create 'AI Assistants' that simplify and automate the reading and processing of documents to make AI safe, reliable, explainable and privacy-compliant, easily accessible and usable by everyone in enterprises of all sizes and sectors and in public administrations. The organisation currently employs a team of more than 50 machine learning engineers, software engineers, DevOps and data scientists, coordinated by the two co-founders with a strong academic background and a proven scientific track record as researchers at the Institute of High Performance Computing and Networks of the CNR. Altilia's efforts in AI research led to the development of a cutting-edge proprietary technology called Altilia Intelligent Automation (AIA). AIA is a next-generation AI assistant generator for document processing. AIA can be easily trained to classify, answer content-based queries, extract structured data to be stored in databases and systems, perform semantic searches for any type of document including invoices, bills of lading, tax forms, utility bills, e-mails, transcripts, newspaper articles, to financial statements, annual financial reports, budgets, medical diagnoses and more. Regardless of the volumes of documents to be processed, AIA automates document-intensive tasks by scaling up to meet the most demanding workloads.
