About
Identita is a disability-owned Canadian biometric engineering company. We pioneered a method of encapsulating battery powered circuits inside regular credit cards. In a nutshell we have a fingerprint sensor with a rechargeable battery inside a typical access card.
That statement greatly oversimplified three innovations that Identita created. The first, a manufacturing method that gives us the ability to rapidly and efficiently package next generation smart cards, passports and other wearables. The second, a biometric modality that is based on a person's ECG or electrocardiogram. Its current rate of effectiveness is 99.97%. The third major innovation is our "Play n Pay" acoustic recognition tech, which enables us to bind a person's biometric signature into an semi-audible tone.
What do all of Identita's innovations add up to? The ability for FI's to remotely identify and authenticate customer transactions wherever they might be. No more CNP transactions and the ability to solve all your KYC,PCI-DSS and transaction regulatory requirements in one package.
"Play n Pay", for example, uses the latest generation of dynamic acoustic recognition technology (audio OTP). Each time the user presses the button on the card, it generates a unique dynamic signature carried thru sound, allowing for authentication with any device equipped with a microphone or via a telephone or IVR interface. Depending on the application, the software registers and automatically compresses the digital audio signal that contains the dynamic sequence and transmits it to Identita’s ECHOsystem™ authentication server. The authentication sever decodes the digital hash & timestamp to extract and verify the PIN or passphrase, and then provides access to the application. For banking, retail, and customer service applications, it reduces the response time from an average of twelve minutes to forty-five seconds, allowing the user to purchase online or offline and send or receive money in a timely and secure way.
