Alma mater: Dr Kumar completed his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur India in 2018. Dr Kumar joined LSBU as a PDRA and moved from Israel where he was working as Kreitman Post-Doctoral Fellow at Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva. His academic preparation (Master’s) studies were based at AMU, Aligarh in India, 2011.
Research portfolio: Dr Nirmal Kumar is an Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of Applied Science, Amity University Noida, UP His thematic research is on “Nanomaterial’s preparation and their functional application”. To date, he has published 55+ Journal papers with ~2200 citations (Google scholar). He is currently working development of catalytic materials, and thermal spray coating of High entropy alloys for different applications and their theoretical modelling by Molecular dynamics (MD). The High entropy alloys are endowed with exceptional properties for catalytic activity and structural application, etc. His devotion is towards the development of nature-inspired materials for eco-friendly sustainable development.

2. PBC (Planning and Budget Committee) (2019-2021) Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Higher Education Society of Israel, Awarded by Council of Higher Education Israel.
3. Krietman Post-Doctoral fellowship Israel (2018-2019) completed at Ben Gurion University of Negev Beer Sheva Israel, awarded by BGU Israel
4. Young Scientist, DST abroad Travel award (2017) ITS grant (utilized to present research articles in an international conference in Montana state university Leoben Austria) awarded by DST India.
