Lavomet, Heavy Metal Detoxification Platform

Background & Context:
Heavy metal exposure poses a significant public health challenge due to its bioaccumulative nature and detrimental health effects. Existing treatments focus primarily on acute poisoning, leaving chronic exposure largely unaddressed. Innoway R&D Kft. Is developing LavoMet, an innovative Lavomet particle-based platform for heavy metal detoxification, designed for both acute and chronic cases.

Project Objective:
The primary objective of this EU project is to validate the efficacy of LavoMet particles through laboratory proof of concept studies and preclinical (animal) trials. This will establish the safety, effectiveness, and scalability of the technology before moving to human applications.

Role of Innoway R&D:
Innoway R&D Kft. will be responsible for the design, development, and production of LavoMet particles, ensuring quality control and compliance with regulatory standards. We are now seeking partners with expertise in:

1. Laboratory Proof of Concept Studies:

   • Testing LavoMet’s efficacy in controlled laboratory environments.

   • Conducting in vitro studies on heavy metal binding and removal mechanisms.

   • Evaluating the biocompatibility and stability of LavoMet particles.

2. Animal Trials:

   • Conducting preclinical toxicology and efficacy studies in large animal models

   • Testing the pharmacokinetics and bio-distribution of LavoMet.

   • Establishing safety profiles in accordance with EU regulatory requirements.

Desired Partners:
We are looking for EU-based research institutions, laboratories, or biotech companies with expertise in:

• Heavy metal toxicology and chelation therapy.

• Preclinical research, including in vitro and in vivo testing.

• Expertise in large animal studies and biomedical research.

• Analytical chemistry and biomaterials characterization.
