Product description and history:
We were children and grandfather took us with him to follow his team’s cycling races .
The Giro di Basilicata was a wonderful cycling adventure that fascinated us with its wild and unspoiled landscapes that set the medieval villages of Lucania in beautiful postcards.
At each stage the state of mind of everyone was that it didn’t matter if they won or not, but there was always a good reason to meet everyone in front of the village bar , where the aperitif was the master . The happy memory of those moments when the glasses filled with red were the only thing that collided in an atmosphere of celebration and conviviality, inspired us in the creation of the BITTER GIRO.
A bitter with citrus and spicy aromas , including gentian , orange bitter , absinthe, rhubarb and licorice .
Ideal to drink straight, with ice or in the most famous cocktails , such as Negroni and Americano, the important thing is that it is always in with friends!
Dedicated to all contemporary heroes!
All botanicals are extracted in grain alcohol , some by distillation, others by infusion, trying to get the maximum from their organoleptic properties .
Once the aromatic principles have been extracted, the blend that will make up the liqueur is made .
Next the mixture is filtered and stabilized , and then it is left to rest in steel tanks, obtaining the “polishing” of the liqueur , as well as a perfect maturation of the aromatic complex.
Hints
The journey among the aromatic herbs that make up our Bitter Giro leads to a unique and unmistakable flavor.
It starts with a citrus and warm aftertaste , and then moves on to the more bitter and woody notes of herbs and roots , then moving up towards a fresh and balsamic flavor which leads straight to a soft spicy sensation .
