Product description and history:

The history of gin has very ancient roots.

The first to distill something very similar to gin were the alchemists of the Medical School of Salerno between the 12th and 13th centuries who used to extract juniper cuddles in alcohol for their medicinal properties.

This technique was then revisited and modified in Holland by the famous doctor of the University of Leiden, known as Franciscus Sylvius , with the aim of treating Dutch soldiers who fell ill with fever during colonization of the East Indies.

Immediately after it became more and more known in England where the British brought the spread to apical numbers , developing and improving different production methods, from the moment in which William III of Orange forbade the import of foreign products.

Gin Composto comes from the reinterpretation of what was the oldest method for the production of proto-gins , where a blend of botanicals extracted individually, in pure grain alcohol, is cold composed relying exclusively on our nose to obtain a constant and unique aromatic complex .

Once the botanical balancing process is finished, it is lowered in grade and placed at ripening .

The balance between botanicals is its strong point .

A marked softness is the sensation that occurs throughout the tasting phase, which begins with the resinous-balsamic of juniper and of mountain pine reminding us of wild woods, then moving on to a citrus cocktail where both lemon and orange peel stand out well, to arrive at flower fields with violet, orange blossom and iris.
